Use pressure drop to dry the clothes
The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, also known as TIPS, is a method created to evaluate parameters of a design that will conflict and propose general solutions. Using TIPS to assist in developing concepts is another technique used to ensure all “solutions” to parameter conflicts are considered. Solutions for the horizontal washer that were suggested using TIPS include using a vacuum and to increase the degrees of freedom as shown in Appendix I.
